LibreCAD是一款开源免费的2D CAD制图软件，原名为 CADuntu 。它是基于社区版本 QCad 构建，并利用 Qt4 进行了重构，原生支持 Mac OSX, Windows 和 Linux 。它提供了基于 GPL 协议的读取/修改/创建 CAD 文件 (.dxf ) 方案。
LibreCAD一款2D CAD绘图工具已经更新到1.0版比一年前的版本拥有更多功能。LibreCAD，以前称为CADuntu，可以工作在Mac OSX，Windows和Linux版本上，建立在QCad社区版的基础上。

比起QCad社区版，LibreCAD的变化是：最新基于Qt4的用户界面（QCad社区版使用QT3），插件系统，自动保存和更好的DXF文件读取。此外，QCad社区版正式仅可用于Linux（QCad本身是跨平台的，但不是免费的），而LibreCAD是跨平台、免费的。
在这个版本中，LibreCAD是稳定的，但仍然需要改进，所以不要指望与专业应用程序相比，如AutoCAD。另外，LibreCAD不拿出文件 – 它最初包括QCad中的文档，但它已被删除，因为它不是在GPL协议下发布。
此外，应用程序不支持DWG文件。有一些这方面的工作，但因为与LibreDWG一些牌照问题尚未实施。
