National Instruments is pleased to announce the availability of NI Software Platform Bundle (SPB) 2018. This bundle includes the majority of the NI software portfolio for building any application and contains all of the products included in the NI Developer Suite, the NI Alliance Partner Software (APS), and the NI Academic Site License (ASL). Products Included in the NI Software Platform Bundle (SPB) 2018: About NI Software Platform Bundle (SPB). The Software Platform Bundle includes the majority of the NI software portfolio for building any application. Develop applications in multiple environments, including LabVIEW Professional, LabWindows/CVI, and Measurement Studio. Extend the functionality of the LabVIEW development environment with all its add-ons to perform code deployment, hardware integration, data analysis, and code validation. Communicate with NI products and third-party instruments using drivers. Build automated test systems with TestStand and real-time test systems with VeriStand. The Software Platform Bundle includes access to LabVIEW NXG 2.1 - the next generation of LabVIEW. The Alliance Partner Software includes several more LabVIEW toolkits and add-ons, TestStand add-ons, and stand-alone waveform editors in addition to the software included in the Software Platform Bundle. The software included in the Developer Suite is a subset of the software in the Software Platform Bundle with the same software versions. The latest NI Software Platform Bundle installer ISO disk image file (similar to a ZIP file) for Spring 2018 makes installation easier (compared to downloading all the individual media) assuming you have the disk space available to handle it (at least 130 GBytes of space on a drive). Notes: - The NI Software Platform Bundle contains nearly every software tool and driver that NI makes, including embedded FPGA/RT programming, co-simulation, and power electronics test. It is a great value and I recommend it for all power electronics development teams. - The ISO file is 60 GBytes before unzipping, and the total required space is more than twice that. You will need at least 130+ GBytes of space available on a drive.- The installer media can be downloaded and unzipped on any drive, but it is recommend to install LabVIEW on a Solid State Drive (SSD) if available for an order-of-magnitude speed improvement when loading projects and files.
