Siemens Digital Industries Software announces the latest version, 2019.2, of Simcenter 3D software, with major enhancements for low- and high-frequency electromagnetic solutions to help accelerate electromagnetics simulation processes.

Siemens accelerates electromagnetics simulation processes with latest release of Simcenter 3D

The latest release of Simcenter 3D introduces a new physics discipline for low- and high-frequency electromagnetics simulation to the Simcenter 3D environment. By including electromagnetic simulation into Simcenter 3D, engineers can take advantage of the integrated environment to perform electromagnetic simulation faster than with traditional simulation tools and streamline multiphysics workflows between electromagnetic and other physical simulations.

This release offers a variety of capabilities for the maximum performance of low frequency electromagnetic field simulations, with a transient solver capabilities including motion. Based on the finite element Simcenter MAGNET solver, which is built on several decades of expertise and comes from Siemens’ acquisition of Infolytica, the low-frequency solution is designed for motor engineers and electromagnetic engineers who want to improve design and achieve maximal performance and efficiency in their electromechanical systems.

Simcenter 3D’s new high-frequency electromagnetic solution for wave propagation class of problems can help maximize antenna and sensor performance and address electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and electromagnetic interference (EMI). There are efficient and effective modeling methods tuned for each frequency range, application field and scale of device, including large, system-level models such as full aircraft and cars. - Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit) Pro and Enterprise editions

Windows 10 is the minimum supported release for NX 1867. The supported versions of Windows 10 are the Professional and Enterprise editions utilizing either the Current Branch for Business (CBB) or Long Term Service Branch (LTSB) update branch. The Current Branch (CB) update option is not supported. Windows 10 is also available for NX 10.0.3 and later versions including NX 1867. Windows 7 and 8.1
Windows 7 has reached the end of life and mainstream support has ended. Windows 8.1 is still supported by Microsoft, but was rarely deployed. These two versions of Windows are no longer supported by NX 1867. Siemens PLM Software has not performed testing on these versions and cannot resolve any issues related to NX 1867 running on these operating systems.
