In this release, this script can be used to give links between microstructure properties and non-acoustic macroscopic properties of shoddy materials and make quick evaluation of the normal sound absorption and transmission loss in air under normal plane wave excitation.

- The new auralization prediction tool has been added. In this release, this module can be used to compute the sound rendering of a simulated transmission loss. A predefined list of industrial and experimental sounds is implemented in NOVA, original and treated sound can be played directly in the module.
Modifications- Due to the upgrade of the compiler used for NOVA, export to VA One can only be made through a XML file. Direct copy to the clipboard is unavailable in NOVA 2021. Also every name will be truncated to the first 15 characters.Corrections- #217788: Legend of graph are correctly updated when some curves are removed.- #217464: Controls are made to ensure that realistic physical properties are entered in every microstructure model scripts.- #208803: When solving analysis that contain lined section property, a warning message will inform you that you have exceeded fmaxthe cutoff frequency of the chamber (fmax<0.586∗c0/D1). Where c0 is the sound velocity and D1is the inlet/outlet diameter. A txt file (nova_warning.txt) will appear in the project folder to indicate the cutoff frequency value.- Biot poroelasticity model has been corrected to avoid discontinuity for highly damped materials.- #NOVA-17: In Multiple Treatment Library, users can now modify the combination of multilayers by using Insert and Delete from the right-click menu.- Validation Test 30 has been updated to implement and validate the new microstructure model for compact granular script.- #NOVA-1: Validation test 4 has been updated to correct wrong material’s names.
