CSiXCADTM is a plugin for AutoCAD®, BricsCAD®, and ZWCAD® that streamlines drawing production by directly interacting with ETABS® and SAP2000®. CSiXCAD provides a live link between structural models defined and maintained in ETABS or SAP2000 and the drawings documenting them in the CAD software. Both steel and reinforced-concrete structures are supported.CSiXCAD requires its own license. ETABS or SAP2000 must be installed and licensed on the same machine where CSiXCAD is being used when transferring data. Import From ETABS or SAP2000During import, you have full control over what objects are imported and what drawing views are generated. Data in the CSiXCAD BIM model is defined only once and any changes to a structural item in a drawing are reflected on all drawings where that item is shown. Update From ETABS or SAP2000CSiXCAD eliminates the need to transfer data and markups manually to CAD engineers and automatically generates an initial set of drawings that can then be customized and refined using CAD. When the engineer later makes changes to the original design model, CSiXCAD can compare the contents of its BIM model with the modified design model, and either import all changes or only selected changes. Previous edits made to the drawings in CSiXCAD are maintained, and a report listing the changes is generated. BIM ObjectsCSiXCAD creates “BIM objects” that explicitly represent structural components and their related annotation items. These BIM objects differ in many ways from native CAD objects in that they carry non-graphical structural and project information. Numerous options allow you to control how BIM objects display themselves in the CAD software. Modifications or changes made to the BIM objects allow for faster updating of drawings and details. 7384 An enhancement has been made to the display of concrete beams and girders. The beams and the girders the support them now are displayed as a monolithic system, with no horizontal hard edges shown where the top and bottom surfaces of beams and girders intersect. This is consistent with how they are shown in plan view.
7508 A new command, Create Beamline Elevations, has been implemented that creates concrete beamline reinforcement elevations for selected beamlines, and optionally, lays these out on new sheets. Concrete beamline elevations can already be automatically created and laid out on sheets for selected beamlines when a model is imported from ETABS and a new project is created. The new command allows subsequent control of this feature by selecting beamlines graphically after the drawings have been created.

7253 An incident affecting the display of elevations in AutoCAD “paper space” was resolved. When a building featured beams or braces that were oriented at an angle other than 0 or 90 degrees from a line along which an elevation had been drawn and were also adjacent to that line, then short line segments corresponding to the portion of these members that was between the elevation plane and its back clipping plane appeared when the elevation was displayed in paper space. These line segments did not show, as expected, when the elevation was rendered in model space. When this occurred, the error was visually obvious. This affected all versions of CSiXCAD. The workaround was to reduce the elevation back-clip distance with the Edit Elevation Grid command.
7386 An incident was resolved affecting the display of concrete columns with walls framing into them. Occasional extraneous lines that were unexpectedly shown are no longer drawn, consistent with how these columns are shown in plan view. When this occurred, the error was visually obvious
