The software developer StructurePointis pleased to announce the availability of spColumn 10.10 is developed to design and investigate any reinforced concrete sections subject to combined axial and flexural loads.

  

New Features:
- Added support for ACI 318-19 design standard (code) in English and Metric units.
- Added support for CSA A23.3-19 design standard (code) in English and Metric units.
- Included diagrams within PDF and DOCX reports generated using command line.
Resolved Issues:
- Corrected the issue of report generation in Word format in spReporter.- Corrected the issue in spReporter when upgraded to Windows 10.0
- Corrected the issue of displaying wrong message during design process in spColumn.
- Corrected the reinforcement cover label for Sides Different reinforcement Menu.
- Fixed the issue of user not being to preview the report in Word, PDF and Text formats when no printer is connected or when printer is offline.
- Corrected the issue of proper location, Top or Bottom, not being displayed in the results and factored moments table(s) table for when Mmin exceeds Mi for X and Y axis bending.
- Fixed the issue of spResults not automatically refreshing after a problem is re-executed.


spColumn is a software program for the design and investigation of reinforced concrete sections subject to axial and flexural loads. The section can be rectangular, round or irregular, with any reinforcement layout or pattern. Slenderness effects can be considered.

The program offers investigation of irregularly shaped, reinforced concrete column sections that may contain openings or boundary elements. Widely used for design of shear walls, bridge piers as well as typical framing elements in buildings, spColumn can investigate sections that are impossible to find on design charts or do by hand calculations. You can obtain the P-M interaction diagrams from both uniaxial and biaxial runs, as well as the Mx-My moment contour plots from biaxial runs for even the most irregular column and shear wall sections. Slenderness effects producing magnified moments may be included in the investigation.
