大姚三台乡位于彝州之巅大小百草岭的崇山峻岭间,是享誉海内外的三台核桃的原产地，是彝族文化荟萃之地，是中国彝族十月太阳历的发源地，三台乡每年农历“三月二十八”彝族服装节是大姚重大的民间传统节日。今年4月22日至23日在三台举办中国大姚三台首届核桃文化节暨2009年彝族服装节,又吸引了大批中外专家\学者\文人及客商观光旅游和采风。
